Chicago

i love Chicago. i've lived here almost 30 years and despite my healthy travel experiences, I feel so proud to call this city my home.  we contribute so much to the world through business and culture.

my favorite part of this place is how we look our problems straight in the face and aren't afraid to combat the higher ups when it comes to making the city better for all.   an odd but good thing is that our screw ups have helped communities create really amazing things to showcase pride still despite the limits.

i don't plan on skipping town anytime soon, but if the day comes, I will miss this place incredibly.  what a gem.

Soul Cycle

Soul Cycle is legit the most fun workout to commit to fully or sprinkle into your workout plan. find your tribe by trying different instructors, at least one of them will stand out because of their music playlist or their encouragement during steep climbs on the bike.  when you i.d. your crew make sure to book classes on Mondays at 12PM. the secret to SC is that everybody belongs there.  due to photos or even the vibe, it can sometimes seem like it's intimidating or that everyone there is an expert.  not true.  the instructors and staff are always thrilled to have new guests in the studio.

let me know what you think of your first Soul Cycle class.  @ me on Twitter to lmk the vibes.

P.S. try different bikes. i originally began my soul journey loving the front row but discovered that I love the sidebar front row, or aisle bike in the second row (like LOVE).  everybody needs different things and that's the beauty of this community, they have thought things through and give every type of person the opportunity to have their best sweat possible.

happy sweating!
